Elite Baseball & Softball Coaching
Meet the Lab Staff

At Swing Lab 815, we don’t believe in "cookie cutter" instruction. Our instructors bring years of collegiate and professional experience to every hitting lesson, helping athletes develop a swing that holds up under pressure. Whether you are looking for baseball hitting lessons to increase exit velocity or specialized softball coaching for better plate discipline, our staff is here to help you level up.

Taylor Murray

Owner, Instructor and someone who lives and breathes this game. With experience as a college and national team coach, and a 100% recruitment rate for the athletes I’ve worked with, I’ve seen what it takes to compete at the next level. But this isn’t about me—it’s about what each athlete is capable of becoming.

My focus is on developing confident, resilient players who believe in themselves long before anyone else does. It starts with strong fundamentals, grows through a sharpened mental game, and is built in an environment where failure isn’t feared—it’s used. This is a place where athletes learn to fail forward, adjust, and keep showing up.

There’s no cookie-cutter coaching here. Every athlete is different, and every plan is built around HER goals—because her journey matters.More than anything, this is a space where your daughter will be pushed, supported, and believed in every step of the way.

Let’s get to work and hit them jimmies.

Jacob Murray

I’m a former collegiate baseball player and dedicated coach with a lifelong passion for developing athletes both on and off the field. I played Division II baseball at Lewis University, where I earned All-Conference and All-Region honors twice during my career. I went on to graduate in 2014 with a Master’s degree in Chemistry, bringing a disciplined and analytical approach to everything I do.

Before college, I attended Downers Grove North High School, where my foundation in baseball and work ethic first took shape.

After my playing career, I spent six years as a full-time youth head professional coach with All In 9 Baseball, helping athletes sharpen their skills, build confidence, and compete at a high level. Coaching has been one of the most rewarding chapters of my journey, allowing me to pass on the lessons the game has given me.

Today, my wife and I live in Manhattan with our two daughters, Thea and Haddie, and our three dogs. When I’m not working with athletes, you’ll usually find me reading, training Brazilian jiu-jitsu, or spending as much time outdoors as possible. And every now and then, I’ll slow things down with a good movie.

Natalee Curry

I’m a NCAA DII utility player and recent graduate from Spring Hill College. Earned All Tournament Team, was named preseason All-Conference and am a 2x Conference Champion.

What makes me different? My fresh experience in the college softball atmosphere. I want to help athletes develop confidence, composure and a consistent approach at the plate. I help athletes not only improve their physical performance, but also become more confident and resilient within themselves.

Focus on: Swing mechanics, consistent fundamentals and pitch selection. I take time to emphasize developing a confident mental approach at the plate, helping players translate their training into game-day success.

Alyssa Schroeder

She played at Joliet Junior College and Benedictine University, gaining experience at both the JUCO and NCAA levels so she KNOWS the game and what it takes to grow at every stage.

Her focus? Building strong, confident hitters from the ground up. Dialing in mechanics, creating consistency, and helping athletes actually feel good at the plate.

She is THAT coach for your younger athletes. The one who leads with patience. The one who makes kids feel safe, seen, and excited to show up. The one who understands that before anything else—this game should be FUN.

She has such a natural way of connecting with kids and building them up while still laying down the kind of fundamentals that last forever. It’s not rushed. It’s not forced. It’s intentional. She’s truly been given a gift with this game and she uses it to make sure the next generation falls in love with it the right way.

About Me:
I’m a former high school and college pitcher dedicated to helping the next generation of players develop proper mechanics, build arm strength & gain confidence on the mound. Having competed at both the high school and collegiate levels, I know firsthand what it takes to find success on the mound, and I use that experience to give young athletes a strong competitive foundation.

My Philosophy:
Every pitcher is unique, and I don’t believe in a one size fits all approach. I look at each player’s natural strengths and build on what makes them special.

More than anything, I teach a “Win This Pitch” mindset. Baseball moves fast & young athletes can easily get overwhelmed by a bad play or a tough inning. I train pitchers to tune out the noise, forget the last play & lock all their focus into the only thing they can control: winning the exact pitch right in front of them.

Connor Jerkatis

A local kid from New Lenox, I’ve played baseball here my whole life from Travel ball with the New Lenox Rebels to High school ball at Lincoln Way Central. Now I’m entering my senior year in college at Concordia University Chicago. My thing is that I know what my athletes are going through as i’ve grown up in the same baseball town as them. My approach is more mental then physical as I aim to educate each player every lesson. A swing is like a snowflake they all look different but all work the same. I will create a fun productive learning environment where failure is a good thing and effort is praised. I know what it’s like to be the best player on the team and the worst, I’ve taken what this game has taught me and used it to help the next generation of baseball players!
